Katelynn proposes to her partner at New Orlean’s Botanical Garden

Katelynn knew that she wanted to propose to her girlfriend Stephanie on their trip to New Orleans. She got in contact with me months in advance and we locked in all of the details over a phone call that she sneakily took during her lunch break at work. A couple of weeks before the big day, Stephanie beat her to it! While it was still a surprise, the bigger surprise was that Stephanie did it first.

Stephanie happened to know that she was going to have a proposal at some point on their trip and as they explored the garden before the big moment she asked “So, are you going to get on one knee any everything?!” She decided yes and said something along the lines of “I’m awkward, but will you marry me?!”

It’s funny how even if your partner has already proposed the nervous feelings build up when you’re about to do the asking. I proposed back to my partner and I was shaking!!!

The New Orlean's Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite places to photograph! It offers so many unique backdrops, places to get out of the sun on hot days, and it’s usually not too crowded. Well worth the $50 permit if you’re considering a session or proposal there. You can also buy the permit right when you walk in which makes it very convenient!
