On an unusually cold day in New Orleans, Latoya of Waning Moon Weddings uses her magic to create a romantic wedding from Jasmine & Kragen. Kragen and his groomsmen arrive first and pick out the perfect live oak for the ceremony. As they try to stay warm and keep any nervous feelings away, I get the opportunity to hear some cute stories about the couples relationship.

Our groom is all smiles as he waits for his love to make her way through the oaks and say “I do” to a happily ever after with him.

Jasmine’s brother walked her down the “aisle” in one of the best suits I’ve ever seen. Y’all I am here for wedding fashion! and folks rarely disappoint down here in Louisiana. That brings us to one of my favorite parts of a wedding. Watching the face of the person waiting at the end of the aisle for the love of their life to walk towards them, those waves of emotions rolling through the crowd, it’s absolutely magnetic!

Months and months later and this photo still makes me feel things. It’s always so special to get to be a small part of such a big day. The day where two people choose each other. It’s so powerful.

After saying their vows and sealing it all with a kiss, I got to sneak off with the newlyweds for a little photo session! It’s so nice to get a few intimate moments with your person in between celebrating with your krewe.

One of the best parts of eloping in City Park? You can get beignets at Cafe Du Monde and something warm to defrost your little paws afterward!
