Jim & Amanda // Jackson Square Surprise Proposal

Jim was sneaky about his proposal to Amanda. He even had his brother help so that she wouldn’t get suspicious and boy was it worth it! When they made their way up to the view of Jackson Square from Artillery Park, she had no idea what was coming.

As I tried to look like a casual observer of the beautiful view instead of a gal with a purpose, I heard Amanda say “That is the most beautiful church I have ever seen in my life!” I think it’s a safe bet to say that view isn’t one she will be forgetting anytime soon. Jim got down on one knee and asked Amanda to spend his life with her. There was surprise, laughter, and tears.

Amanda’s energy was contagious she was giggling throughout the entire shoot. You could see their love, joy, and excitement in the way interacted with each other through our little adventure through the French Quarter together.

Proposals are one of my all-time favorite moments to photograph!! When they happen, I feel that excitement right along with my couples. I love to help with everything from coaching advice, to set-up (Ex. I can bring champagne or help with reservations), to brainstorming the perfect idea based on what you want that special moment to be and then I’ll capture it with pictures you can treasure forever!
