Natalie & Rachel // Botanical Garden LGBTQIA+ Elopement

Two brides share a kiss after their first look in a gorgeous brick walkway adorned with hanging plants in New Orleans, Botanical Gardens.

There couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day waiting for Natalie & Rachel to say "I do!” surrounded by the garden’s fauna and flora. I met Natalie first as we ventured into the depths of the garden to find the perfect spot for Rachel to find us. The energy was alive as Natalie grew giddy dancing with excitement, ready to see her future wife walking towards through the green.

Rachel let her hand linger as moved to a different perspective where I knew I could capture both of their faces gazing upon each other, in their white dresses, for the first time.

Their energy was contagious!

After they let the moment sink in, we headed to the greenhouse where the intimate ceremony would take place. Myself, and two close friends their to witness the vows.

After some sweet vows, we decided to explore some more of the gardens! One of my favorite rooms at the Botanical Garden is the succulent garden greenhouse! These last two years I’ve become quite the plant lady but I still can’t complete with this amazing greenhouse.

Botanical Gardens, New Orleans - Succulent Greenhouse. Two brides get close after sharing vows.

Even if you don’t have a magical reason to visit the gardens, I highly recommend it as a mini-adventure. There’s even a cave!!!

Peek-a-boo from the Brides! Cheesin after their I-dos!

Natalie and Rachel skipped, danced, and kissed all across the park. Love is love is love is love and one of my favorite things is how supportive most of the New Orleans community is around queerness! The brides were showered with love and compliments anytime we crossed paths with other people. (But I mean… look at these photos, how could you not?!)

The evening ended in champagne and laughter. A perfect end to a perfect day.

Until next time! XoXo - Ash

Peace and love from the brides!
